world project Le monde sur vos murs

The studio

the eye first,
the machine second

from the front page to the wall

A graphic designer for a major Belgian weekly, Brigitte spent years composing images made to stop the eye. Interior decoration, for its part, has always been her passion. Then life took her elsewhere, until the day a vertical wall printer set everything in motion again: the same eye, applied to the scale of a wall.

The name says the rest. World Project was first going to be called “Wall”; it became “World”, so the name would follow her everywhere, in all her projects. Today it does both at once: the world, on your walls.

“Creativity is intelligence having fun — and on a wall, you can see it straight away.”

The machine

a technology that is still rare

The vertical wall printer prints the image directly onto the surface: painted or bare walls, white or coloured plasterboard, wallpaper, wood and flooring fitted to the wall. It also prints on most rigid materials: stone, concrete, plaster, brick, metal, tiles, acrylic, plastic, glass. Nothing to install, nothing to line up: the ink is born on the wall and bonds to it. On floors, that is not on the agenda yet.

And the printer does not do everything: it is the eye composing the image for this wall (its dimensions, its light, its material) that makes the mural.

  1. We imagine

Your image, your identity, a design conceived for the exact wall: its dimensions, its light, its material.

  2. We print

Directly onto the wall, to the millimetre, in a single pass. No wallpaper, no installation: the ink is born on the surface and dries at once.

  3. We reveal

The image appears before your eyes, little by little. A sharp, lasting mural, one of a kind in the world: the place changes dimension, and it feels like you.

The method

how a project unfolds

Ink study: a lion, half line drawing, half geometric linework, on a white ground
Study · before printing
  1. 01

    You show us the wall

A photo of the wall, a photo of what you would like to see on it: a logo, a mural, a phrase. That's all.

  2. 02

    We come to see it

First contact, measurements on site, then a quote as close as possible to what you have in mind.

  3. 03

    We approve the design together

The design is fine-tuned with you, down to the detail. Nothing is printed without your approval.

  4. 04

    The wall reveals itself

The printer does its work and reveals to you, little by little, an image born of your imagination (or ours). One of a kind in the world: designs are unlimited and adapt to rooms of every size, on every surface.

The rules

the two rules that never bend

  1. 01

See the wall before saying yes.

Every mural is conceived for its real surface, never blind.

  2. 02

Turn down a visual that will not hold up.

If the image will not do justice to the place (or the wall to the image), we tell you, and we look for better.
